Hematology Department

Central to our Haematology department is our state-of-the-art analyzers, renowned for their precision and efficiency. Our analyzers employ automated methods for Full Blood Count (FBC) analysis, including differential leukocyte count, hemoglobin determination, and platelet enumeration. Additionally, it features automated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) measurement, ensuring rapid and reliable results for this crucial diagnostic parameter.

In conjunction with our primary analyzer, our department utilizes advanced microscopy techniques to perform manual blood smear examinations when necessary. This hands-on approach allows our skilled Laboratory Director and Scientists to provide detailed analysis and interpretation of blood cell morphology, complementing the automated capabilities of our instrumentation.

Furthermore, our Haematology department is equipped with an advanced staining machine, which enhances the efficiency and consistency of blood smear staining procedures. This advanced staining technology ensures optimal visualization of blood cell components under the microscope, facilitating accurate diagnosis and interpretation of blood film findings.

In addition to FBC and blood smear analysis, our haematology department includes the Coagulation Section of the Laboratory that provides full coagulation testing using a fully automated coagulation analyser. The coagulation assays cover full analysis of blood clotting parameters, including prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), LA1 & LA2 Lupus anticoagulants, and fibrinogen, Protein C Protein S amongst others.

Microbiology Department

Our Microbiology Department is structured according to the latest guidelines outlined in the European Union Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) 2024 instructions for Clinical Microbiology departments. This ensures that our infrastructure regarding the pre-culture and culture areas is adhering to the regulatory standards of the ISO specifications while promoting efficiency and smooth workflow and adherence to regulatory standards.

Our automated urine analyzer enables rapid and precise analysis of urine samples for the detection of various pathogens and abnormalities. This advanced analyzer enhances our ability to provide timely and accurate diagnostic results, supporting optimal patient care.

Additionally, our Microbiology Department features a cutting-edge platform for automated microbial identification and susceptibility testing. This advanced technology allows for rapid and accurate identification of bacteria and fungi, enabling targeted treatment strategies for infectious diseases.

Molecular Department

Our state-of-the-art facilities and advanced CE-IVD equipment in the molecular department enable us to provide a comprehensive range of molecular diagnostic services, tailored to meet the diverse needs of patients and healthcare providers, while adhering to the guiding directives and requirements for in vitro diagnostic testing in Europe.

This ensures that our testing processes uphold the highest standards of quality and reliability, instilling confidence in the accuracy of our results among patients and collaborators.

Utilizing an automated nucleic acid extraction platform employing magnetic bead technology allows for rapid, reliable, and effective processing of various sample types. This automated process guarantees consistency and reliability in nucleic acid extraction, crucial for molecular testing applications.

Furthermore, our Molecular Department is equipped with two Real-Time PCR analyzers and structured to comply with quality standards and European and global guidelines for molecular diagnosis. In our advanced molecular laboratory, we offer a wide array of molecular tests and continually develop new techniques to meet evolving medical and public health needs. Quality Department

With a vast experience in the field, our dedicated team is on track to secure accreditation by the European and International Accreditation Certificate ISO15189:2022 for over 100 tests across major disciplines, such as Hematology, Biochemistry, Immunology, and Clinical Microbiology.
